Trash Pickup:
Trash day is Tuesday. Trash may be placed at the curbside late Monday or
Tuesday morning. Trash receptacles are to be taken in on Tuesday after
pickup. Do not leave trash receptacles at curbside or in front yard.
Trash Pickup for those 65 and older:
Senior Citizens can get their trash picked up for $3.50 a month. Apply
at Lawrenceville City Hall 770 963-2414.
There is a senior and disability exemption for residents
who are not able to deliver their trash and garbage to the curbside.
Call City Hall 770 963-2414 to request an Exemption application and to
find out additional qualification information to utilize this service.

Recycling:
Did you know that only 32% of households in our neighborhood use
"Recycle bins" for curbside pickup on Tuesday mornings?
Materials can be placed at the curbside and will be picked up on
Tuesdays.

Goal for 2010 - encourage more recycling. By recycling, we can reduce
the garbage
and therefore reduce the amount we place in landfills.
We can recycle:
Newspapers, catalogs, phone books, magazines, all paper
Aluminum, bi-metal, tin cans, aluminum, aluminum foil,
Glass
Cereal and laundry detergent boxes, six and twelve pack beverage boxes,
cardboard boxes.
All color plastic containers, including milk jugs and laundry bottles.
If
you need a recycle bin, notify 770 554-0455 and leave a message with
phone number and address.
If you have one and need another, the charge is $10.00.

Pine Straw and Leaves:
May through October - All pine straw must be in bags at the curb after
5:00pm the day before or by 8:00am the day of trash pickup.
Tree Limbs and Shrubbery:
These may be placed at the curb. Pickup will be on Tuesday.
Appliance Pickup:
The city will pick up large appliances. The charge is $10.00. They
will not pick up tires, batteries, metal, paint, roffing or tree
stumps. Call 770 963-2414 for information.

Where can
I register to vote and where can I vote?
For city
wide, county, state, and national registration go to Gwinnett County Government
Building at
Gwinnett Drive located in the Kroger shopping center.
You can vote at the First Baptist Church, South Clayton Street.
For citywide elections - go to Lawrenceville City Hall, 70 South Clayton St.
Is there a
leash Ordinance for Dogs? YES
Lawrenceville city leash law: It is unlawful for any owner or possessor of any
dog to allow such dog to run at
large, whether weating a collar and tag or not, within the incorporated areas of
the City. Any and all such dogs
found running at large, shall be immediately impounded by an officer of the
animal control unit or any Police

Is there
an Ordinance for Barking Dogs? YES
City
Ordinances on noise regulations is as follows: Barking dogs - The keeping
of any animal or bird which
by frequent or continuous barking, chirping or other means of communication
disturbs the comfort of repose
of the residents of any residential neighborhood is prohibited. Call police at

Is there a
neighborhood swim and tennis club? YES
The Forest
Hills Swim and Tennis Club is the best kept secret in the city. The prices for
summer fun are
reasonable and it is a wonderful place for children and families to spend time.
The amenities include a large
beautiful pool, a pavilion for entertaining and for meetings, a clubhouse, and a
tennis court.
