The Neighborhood
Association begins the new year with a lot in store for
you.
First on the agenda is membership. Unlike many other
neighborhoods, membership in the Association is
voluntary, so we rely on the continued support of our
friends and neighbors to allow us to maintain the
neighborhood in the way we have come to know and expect.
Your $40.00 dues are
used to provide for upkeep and maintenance of the common
areas, pay utility bills, prepare the newsletters and
neighborhood directory, decorate the entrance for the
holidays, plus sponsor holiday decorating.
We have a neighborhood
garage sale every two years. One of the highlights of
the year is the annual meeting with a chili and
vegetable soup supper.
The Association keeps
residents informed by using e-mail and placing
information on the neighborhood website.
Less visible, but so
important, is the role the Association plays for all of
us in keeping our neighborhood safe. In 2010 the
Association initiated the Neighborhood Watch program.
The Association needs
the support of existing members but also new members. We
hope you will join and see for yourself the benefits it
brings.
The message here is
that when we work together, we all benefit. Part of the
working together is knowing who we all are and how to
reach each other.
We publish a directory
every two years and it is important that we have the
names and addresses of all who live in Forest Hills and
Windsor Farms. Please let us know if you have recently
moved into the neighborhood or if you know someone who
has moved in.
I hope that you will
join this year. If you have questions, feel free to
call. If you have ideas and suggestions, please contact
us.
Wishing you a safe,
healthy and prosperous 2012.
